A few images on non-resistance to evil

Weathered white sock,
hung loose from a stick.
Watery bog, whining dog.

White, bright, light.
Laughter from every corner
of the house. Language
in every movement,
gestures, loudness

garbage, gangrenous
limb, black lung,
boisterous lingo. Body numb,
loose tongue, lazy drugs,
listlessness and violence.
A pocketed fist to test,

my limits and the extent
to which I can keep producing
images. Ancient stone wall
destroyed by modern architects.
said it didn't serve its purpose.
Beat down the existing order with
inaction. Holding ourselves back

no gun in hand,
hand not clenched, fist
useless. Yet we will not
tolerate these animals and the
world they create. Luxury,
lounging, laying back, lucrative
career, laziness, listlessness,
languid, lugubrious.

Larks at night
outright, upright, no flight.
Firmly set against all power and
coercion.
