Poets Against War continues the tradition of socially engaged poetry by creating venues for poetry as a voice against war, tyranny and oppression.

Poet in high school and college, published a few times in various literature magazines. Time and monetary constraints forced a hiatus from writing since summer 2001, but I have started again.

Message from Poet to General

Two-thousand pound rain
showers quietly
consume what they splash upon,
and, like in every springtime rain,
fresh flowers appear
across once bare fields.

As your home, in worried wait,
watches for the scores of ball games,
you throw stones at David,
each hit marked with a welt
while you glance behind
to see if anyone is yet aware
of the unwashable spot
spreading on your hands.
