Anthologies of Poems Against War from Around the World

Poets Against the War is part of, and helped to inspire, a series of interconnected movements. This spring has seen an outpouring of opposition to war from poets around the globe, and there have been many efforts to create anthologies of poetry to express that opposition. Here are a few of those projects.

Poets Against the War
An anthology published by Nation Books, selected from the 13,000 poems published on the poetsagainstthewar.org web site.

Washington DC Poets Against the War
D.C. Poets Against the War and Argonne House Press announce the publication of D.C. Poets Against the War: An Anthology, 41 anti-war poems by Washington-area poets, edited by Sarah Browning, Naomi Ayala, Michele Elliott, and Danny Rose. Called "an essential voice of conscience in a troubled time" by Poets Against the War founder Sam Hamill, D.C. Poets Against the War: An Anthology features poets, ages 10 to 80, who question, protest, and raise their voices against their government's war on Iraq. Presenting poets both new and established, this collection is in the tradition of our nation's great works of dissent and creative democracy. The anthology is available for purchase on the D.C. Poets Against the War web site at www.dcpaw.org and from Washington area bookstores such as Politics & Prose, the Writer's Center, Chapters Literary Bookstore, and Bridge Street Books.
